Students will receive their new Albion 1Card when checking into their residential buildings. Otherwise, cards are issued and distributed by Client Services located on the Mudd Main Floor.

Immediately report a lost or stolen card to the Office of Campus Safety at 517-629-1234. To deactivate your Briton Bucks account, click here or call 1-888-435-6027. Replacement cards are issued by Client Services located on the Mudd Main Floor. A $5 fee will be charged to replace your card. Your Student ID Number is located on the front of your Albion 1Card. It is not your social security number, but a unique number that is 9 digits in length.

Your 16-digit Briton Bucks number is located on the front of your Albion 1Card and uniquely identifies your prepaid spending account.

All accounts are accessed by your Albion 1Card and offer students different dining options. Each account has its own rules for redemption and roll-over.

e-bill is Albion College’s official method for sending student account statements, replacing your paper statements (or bills). Electronic billing (e-billing) is an online interface that enables Albion College students to view their current and previous billing statements and make electronic payments over the Web using a credit card or check. Briton Bucks is a prepaid spending account on your Albion 1Card offering a safe and convenient way to make cashless purchases on and off campus. You are not able to pay tuition with your Briton Bucks account. For more information regarding e-bill, click here.

Briton Bucks is a cashless, prepaid spending account on your Albion 1Card that is accepted on and around the Albion College campus. You must add value to your account before using Briton Bucks to make purchases and have have sufficient value available in your account to pay for each transaction. Every time you use your Briton Bucks account, the amount of the transaction will be deducted from your account and you may not spend more value than you have. Unused balances roll over semester to semester and year to year.

Funds transferred by debit/credit card and cash are available instantly. Check deposits are available on the business day received. If a check is returned to us by your financial institution for insufficient funds, the deposit will be reversed from your Briton Bucks account and a Returned Payment/Check fee will be assessed. If the Returned Payment/Check fee creates a negative balance in your account, you will be contacted to make another payment to the account.

Briton Bucks can be used at many campus locations and at off campus businesses. These can be identified by the “Welcomed” sign featuring the Briton Bucks logo. Click here for a complete list of accepting locations.

At retail locations, Briton Bucks works much like a debit or credit card. Just present your Albion 1Card for payment to the attendant at the register. Your card will be swiped in a terminal and the transaction authorized. You will need to sign a printed receipt of the approved transaction. At self-service locations, simply insert your card in the terminal.

If the self-service machine does not work properly, you will not be charged for the transaction. If for any reason you are charged, please email us a refund request. Please include the location, date & time of the transaction(s) in question.

Cardholder suggestions are welcome and encouraged. Recommendations can be sent via e-mail to our Recruitment Department Please include the name of the location and why you would like to see them join the program.

Go to Briton Bucks Cardholder Account Center. Under the Login button, click [Forgot your username or password?] and follow the instructions.

You may receive a refund of your Briton Bucks account balance when you graduate, withdraw or leave Albion College. Proof of withdrawal or dismissal is required. Refund requests must be submitted in writing to the College’s card program service provider by emailing mycard@albion1card.com
